Bheki Nkwakhwa has
spent more than a decade developing his technique and exploring his concept and
medium. The amount of time taken to develop his concept allowed him to let his
imagination run free and do something different.
Due to sufficient freedom his
innate creativity is naturally expressed. In his aesthetic quest, he strives to
break away from the mould of convention by de-constructing the flat canvas
screen and re - constructing it, using multi-screen juxtaposed and intertwined
to create a 3D physical visual effect. Multi-screens are composed to create a
continuous flow of volumes and surfaces which are adapting to each other.
Different colours, tones and shades of oil paints are fused to add the fluidity
on the surfaces.
His creative work is influenced to a certain degree by
previous achievements and mainly current trends. The constructed, crafted and
assembled creative concept or idea is a result of the visual, intuitive and
non-conforming methods as well as a vivid imagination. His art display liberal
spirituality and assert his independence and individuality.
